   They essentially ‘put your site on the internet’ – you upload your website’s files to the web host and they can then appear on the internet.

   So basically..

   You buy a domain name (like www.yourname.com) and tell that to point at your webhost
   You upload your website to your webhost

   then when someone types in www.yourname.com they see your website!

   Webhosting ranges in price but I recommend Hosting 24 (http://www.hosting24.com/page/3362) – I’ve used them for about a year and the service has been great, before them I used 000webhost and awardspace (ok.. but not as good!)

   A web host basically get your script language or functions ready as a website through internet.And you can use them in any operating system. Their cost are also very low. Here is some option for you:

   # bluehost.com (only $6.95/month. They will also give you unlimited space and bandwidth with free domain registration. They have free site builder too)

   # hostgator.com (All are same like blue host but the cost is only $3.95/month only)

   # justhost.com (same as hostgator.com)

   I am not telling you to use those but i suggest you to check those and if you like then use any of them.

   A web hosting company is a company that hosts your web site.

   Basically if you want a website you need a computer to "host" it on. You can run it out of your garage for example. However if you want better reliability, speed, redundancy, etc. you can find a web hosting company and "rent" space on their server.

   Web hosting companies have really evolved as many plans offer pre-configured servers with a lot of software makng it easy to load up a web site.

   And because there are so many, it’s quite competitive in price and many are $3 to $5 a month.

   The main thing that will distinguish hosting companies from one to another would probably be
   1) uptime
   2) support

   A lot of people talk about uptime but I’ve found that many hosting companies have great uptime. So to me it’s really support. So far support wise I really like

   I have probably tried about 10 hosting companies now and hostingzoom stands out above the others for me.

I have seen some that try to use cable internet (like at your house) that just doesn’t cut it. I have hosted with many of them and they are all pretty good; they are all fairly big and well established so I’d say you really can’t go wrong with any of them. Even the cheapest ones still give you a lot for your money. And honestly you won’t use even a fraction of the features that the web hosts offer so I would focus on reliability/uptime and price when making your selection.

    I would recommend you go to a web hosting review site and do some research before buying web hosting. I used http://www.mywebhostinghero.com/Cheap-Web-hosting.html and discovered http://www.webhostingpad.com/5494.html was the web hosting company for me. The charge $75 for a 3 year term which is only $1.99 a month. You can’t beat that price anywhere. I love these guys and have never had any issues.
